Rule of the Week Question
After chasing down a shot I return a lob that hits off the light fixture
before landing on my opponent's side of the court. My opponent makes no
attempt at the ball claiming that my shot should be considered out. My argument
is that the lights are a permanent fixture that are a part of the court
like the net. Who is right?
Answer
Your opponent is. The only parts of the court considered permanent fixtures
are the net, posts, singles sticks and cords.
