Rule of the Week Question
My friend's ball hits a tiny rock on my side of the court, making it unplayable.
Is it his point or do we re-play the point?
Answer
It's your friend's point, and your tough luck. The tiny rock would just
be considered part of the court, and a bad bounce is part of the game--just
ask Ivan Lendl, who never won Wimbledon. Ivan used to complain all the
time about the bad bounces dished up by the English turf. Ivan's comment
was that grass was only fit for cows to eat.
