Argentina 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5). Juan Balcells breezed by fellow Spaniard
Alberto Berasategui 6-1, 6-2, while Martin defeated Brazilian
Fernando Four Spanish Players Advance at Palermo; Moya WithdrawsSpain's Sergi Bruguera outlasted countryman Emilio Alvarez in three sets Tuesday to advance to the second round of the ATP tournament with three other Spaniards. Bruguera lost the opening set, but came on to win 5-7, 6-3, 6-4. Other Spanish winners were Francisco Clavet, David Sanchez, Alex Calatrava, while No. 3 seed Carlos Moya withdrew for personal reasons.
