Conclusion

Partnership and timing. The good serve down the middle enables me to leave my alley and poach across the net. The returner is forced to return down the middle and I'm closing at the net to knock off a high forehand volley. We are happy, they have problems. Now all that is left is for me to compliment my partner, "thanks for the good serve," to which he should reply, "thanks for the put away." All this is timed to start after the serve bounces, when the opponent is unsighted and can't see me go.
