Introduction

Doubles is the great partners' game. Teamwork, playing and moving together, walking beside your partner on the change-over, every aspect of doubles is about partnering. One of the most dramatic plays in doubles is when your partner has placed the serve well, and you can intercept the opponent's return and put it away for a clean volley winner. Again, partnership is the important thing. The server does his job, and you compliment the server's shot with the volley winner. And now for the nuts and bolts of how, when and where to poach.
