April 5, Santa Rosa, California. The Northern California division of the United States Professional Teaching Association announced today they had awarded the TennisONE web site the 1996 Media of the Year Award. Kim Shanley, publisher and editor of TennisONE, attended the Association's banquet and accepted the award on behalf of TennisONE.
"I want to thank the USPTA for this gracious acknowledgement of all the hard work our staff has made throughout the year," said Kim Shanley, President of TennisONE. "As Bill Tilden once wrote, tennis is an art and a science, and it's something that is taught and passed on by the teaching pros throughout the country. We celebrate the art and science of the sport on TennisONE, so this was a special award to receive from the teaching pros."
